Kary was born July 16, 1947 with his twin brother Gary. He left this earth on Sunday, January 15, 2017. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 AM Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Myrick and Rev. Eddie Rhymes officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 10 AM service time Wednesday . Kary played football for Bastrop High School and was number 40. He loved sports and was voted Mr. BHS in 1965. He was always a family man and worked hard to provide for them. Kary was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, where he was baptized as a young boy. He worked in the church behind the scenes decorating with his wife for patriotic holidays and church dramas. He also enjoyed helping with the Easter egg hunts for the children and was not at all embarrassed to hide the eggs for them with his basket. He loved his family and his cats. He fed the squirrels out of his hands and the birds who came daily. Kary will be missed by so many especially his family. Mr. McIntyre is survived by his wife, Marsha McIntyre; daughter, Kim Johnston; sons, Alan McIntyre and wife Dorla, Michael McIntyre and wife Renee; sister, Rhonda Bostick and husband Bardell; brothers, Gary McIntyre and wife Pat, Roger McIntyre and wife Cathy; grandchildren, Christian Johnston, Eric McIntyre, Jason McIntyre, Alex McIntyre, Connor McIntyre; sister-in-law, Barbara Moore and husband James; brother-in-law, Ed McLean and wife Elise; step sisters-in-law, Sheila Ruffin and husband Hurshel, Susan Barringer and husband Mike and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frellson McIntyre and Audrey McIntyre Gagnon. Serving as pallbearers will be the Class of ‘65 Graduates and Representatives: Ricky Grimmett, Andy Anderson, Biff Meredith, Edwin Beard, Scotty Townsend and Clay McIntyre.
