Andy Myrick officiating under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Patsy, was called home to be with the Lord on August 31, 2020, following a brief illness. Mrs. McIntyre was born February 28, 1926 into a wonderful family filled with love and faith to William and Nola Byargeon, in Bosco, LA. She was a resident of Bastrop for over 85 years and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Preston “Pat” and Nola Spillers Byargeon; brother, William “Bill” Byargeon; and her loving husband of 65 years, L.M. “Mac” McIntyre. Mrs. McIntyre is survived by her three sons, David Cooke of Bastrop, Kenneth “Doose” McIntyre of Bastrop, and Lynn McIntyre and wife Beth of Collinston; six granddaughters, Kim Cooke, Christy McIntyre McLeod and husband Greg, Crystal McIntyre McKoin and husband Newt, Brittney McIntyre, Brooke McIntyre and Kelsi McIntyre; two grandsons, Mike Cooke and wife Cheryl, and Ricky Cooke; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one niece and two nephews. Her sons would like to say a special thank you to granddaughter, Crystal McKoin, the nurses and staff of LeGrand Rehabilitation and Nursing Home and Dr. Carter Cox for taking such good care of their mother and for being there with her during the past several months when COVID kept everyone away. They would also pray that each of you would be ready to spend eternity in heaven by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
