Funeral services for Carolyn Inez McLarrin, age 63, of Bastrop will be held 11
a.m.. Tuesday Dec. 23, at Cox Funeral Home in Bastrop with the Rev. Bobby Porter
officiating. Burial will follow in Baskin Cemetery at Baskin under the direction
of Cox Funeral Home.

Mrs. McLarrin was born November 19, 1940 in Meridian, Miss. and died Dec. 19,
2003 in Bastrop. She is preceded in death by her parents Carlos A. and Annie
Thomas Dear and a son David Michael McLarrin. Mrs. McLarrin is survived by; her
two daughters, Sheila Yates and husband Joel of Bastrop, and Sherry Smith and
husband Eddie of Bastrop; a son Joe McLarrin and wife Terry of Hamburg, Ark., a
brother Buddy Dear and wife Lena of Baskin, 11 grandchildren, Joey McLarrin,
Lance McLarrin, Beth McLarrin, Shannon McLarrin, Daniel Watt, Stormy Davis,
Justin Davis, Daniel Yates, Carla Yates, Amy McLarrin, Joseph McLarrin; nine
great-grandchildren T. J. McLarrin, Onna Grey, Kaleb McLarrin, Elecsis McLarrin,
Dominick Aidan McLarrin, Destiny Dawn Starr Davis, Katrina Smith, Trey
Strickland, and Gene Strickland. Pallbearers are Lance McLarrin, Nick Herzog,
Daniel Watt, Greg Grey, Tommy Doyon, Steve Winnon, and Joey McLarrin. Honorary
Pallbearers are Thomas Strickland, Donald Aldridge, Daniel Yates, and Kevin Day.
Visitation will be held today, Monday, Dec. 22 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the
funeral home.
