THOMAS ERNEST (PETE) MITCHELL

Funeral services for Thomas Ernest (Pete) Mitchell, 48, of Jones, were slated
for 3 p.m. today in the Pauline Missionary Baptist Church of Monticello, Ark. 
with the Revs. Darrell Ball and Richard Henderson officiating.

Mitchell was killed Wednesday in an accident near his home.

He was a member of the Baptist Church and a farmer.

Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Monticello under the direction of
Stephenson Funeral Home of Monticello, Ark.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mavis Lawson Mitchell of Jones; one son, 
Thomas E. Mitchell III. of Jones; three daughters, Mrs. Nancy Brown of Benton, 
Ark. Mrs. Judy Cross of Pine Bludd and Miss Tammy Mitchell of the home; his 
mother Mrs. Ruby Mitchell of Monticello; one brother, Pat Mitchell of Jones; 
four sisters Mrs. Helen Bates and Mrs. Gladys Youngblood, both of Monticello, 
Mrs. Ella Myrl Myrick of Dumas, Ark. and Mrs. Louise James of Dubach, Ark; and 
four grandchildren
