EMILY MCENERY MURPHY

Graveside services for Mrs. Emily McEnery Murphy, 88, will be held at 10 a.m. 
Monday, April 7, 2014 at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave., Shreveport, 
with Deacon Homer Tucker, of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 
officiating. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rayville, with the Rev. Phillip Pazhayakari 
officiating.
Mrs. Murphy passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2014, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Murphy was born on January 18, 1926 in Oak Ridge and was a resident of 
Oak Ridge and Shreveport. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in 
Rayville.
Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon E. Murphy; parents, 
Florence and Tennille McEnery; brothers, Tennille, Mason and Thomas; sisters, 
Felicie and Florence. She is survived by her daughter, Emily Schaumburg and 
husband, Doug; sons, Robert Murphy and wife, Linda and Thomas Murphy and wife, 
Elise; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and brother, Ed McEnery.
The family requests that memorials be made to the St. Vincent De Paul at 
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 716 Frances St., Rayville, La. 71269.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Alan Borne.
