Funeral services for Jewel Freeman, 88, of Bastrop will be held on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Golden 

Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Britt Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. 

Mrs. Freeman died on Nov. 27 at Morehouse General Hospital. Visitation will be held today, Nov. 28, from 

5 to 8 p.m. at Golden's. 



Mrs. Freeman was a homemaker and a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her 

husband, George Freeman and is survived by a daughter Ann Freeman of Bastrop; two sisters Ruth Ainsworth of 

Bastrop and Johnnie McLeod of Bastrop; a brother, James Keith Brown of Ridgecrest, Calif. and numerous nieces and 

nephews. Pallbearers will be Lynn Moore, Jerry Spikes, Darrell White, George Laseter, Merlin Thomas and 

Leon Henderson.
