COX FUNERAL HOME
OAK GROVE, LOUISIANA
Funeral services for Jimmy Dale Newell age 65, will be held at 3:00 P.M., 
Monday, December 1st, 2025, at Harvest Assembly of God in Oak Grove, Louisiana 
with Bro. Bill Bearden officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until time 
of the service. Interment will follow in Kilbourne cemetery in Kilbourne, 
Louisiana.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Charlotte Newell of Oak Grove, Louisiana; son, 
Justin Newell (Sarah) of Jones, Louisiana; daughter, Paige Branch (Chase) of 
Franklinton, Louisiana; daughter, Amber Morales (Jay) of Magnolia, Texas; 
mother, Delores Ann Newell of Oak Grove, Louisiana; brother, Carlton Newell 
(Cheryl) of Stephenville, Texas; brother, Eddie Newell (Sharon) of Oak Grove, 
Louisiana; sister-in-law, Teresa Elliott of Mountain View, Arkansas; brother-in-
law, Dewayne Frith (Jane) of Greenville, Mississippi; grandchild, Presly 
Phillips; grandchild, Abby Newell; grandchild, Breigh Calhoun; grandchild, Ethan 
Calhoun; grandchild, Bryson Branch; grandchild, Jackson Branch; grandchild, 
Reece Branch; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Croy Alton Newell; stepson, Michael Shane 
Harris; brother-in-law, Jerry Elliott; and grandchild, Raigyn Alexis Calhoun.
Pallbearers are Dylan Hendrix, Lawson Newell, Rusty Hayes, Randy Dye, Scotty 
Ashley, and Marty Albright.
Honorary pallbearers are George Boyte, Gene Dye, Larry Darton, and Larry Duff.
