Kyle Peters and Bro. Tim Post officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Nations, retired owner of Glen's Motor Parts and a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016. Mr. Nations is a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church where he loved his Sunday School Class and the men that comprised it. His life centered around his family, church and his work. Mr. Nations is preceded in death by his wife of fifty-nine years, Annette Nations; son, Doug Nations; parents, Champ and Laura Agnes Nations; brothers, Powell Nations, Alton Nations, Jerry Nations; and sisters, Louise Tarver, Pauline Wallace, and Lucille Nations. Mr. Nations is survived by a daughter, Sarah Ellingburg and husband Billy; a brother, Don Nations and wife Gloria; grandchildren, Robyn Landry and husband Jerry, Christy Ellingburg, Jim Ellingburg and wife Jennifer; great grandchildren, Brittany Landry, Garrett Landry, Elijah Landry, Emmalyn Ellingburg, and James Evan Ellingburg; and long-time employee and friend, Cleatis Hemphill. Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Ellingburg, Jerry Landry, Garrett Landry, Eli Landry, Eddie Fair, Mike Nations, and Gene Hughes. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Spikes, J.H. Lockwood, Cleatis Hemphill, and the Senior Men's Sunday School class at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 7 PM Tuesday at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church.
