Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Nolan, a retired health and sanitation officer for the City of Bastrop, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015 at his residence. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, walking and neighborhood visiting. Mr. Nolan is survived by his wife of 22 years, Billie Buffington Nolan; mother, Lois Warton of Bastrop, LA; step son, Todd Buffington and wife Dr. Ashley Buffington of Minden, LA; two sisters, Dottie Howse and husband Charles of Swartz, LA, Jill Bottoms and husband Mike of Dyersburg, TN; two brothers, Kenny Nolan and wife Donna of Royse City, TX, Howard Nolan and wife Janet of Swartz, LA; grandchildren, Nathen Buffington and wife Amber of Dubach, LA and Aaron Buffington and Joseph Buffington both of Minden, LA. He is preceded in death by his father, Milton Nolan and grandsons, Kyle and Jordan Buffington. Serving as pallbearers are: Neil Howse, Shannon Howse, Ian Howse, Jaime Buie, Jeremy Buie and Nathen Buffington. Honorary pallbearers are: George Joiner, Carl McGaha and Frankie McKoin. The family wishes to express a special thank you to his sister and brother in law, Jill and Mike Bottoms and dear neighbors, George and Carolyn Joiner for their dedicated assistance during Mr. Nolan's illness.
