Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Parrott, a resident of Bastrop and homemaker, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2009. She was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hebert Eugene Parrott; parents, John and Annie Roberson; sisters, Hazel Cain and Willie Mae Guice; and brothers, Willard Roberson and Purvis Roberson. She is survived by four children, Lee Parrott of Crossett, AR, Lannie Parrott of Orange City, FL, Gloria Self of Georgia, and Terry Dance of Bastrop, LA; sister, Dot Hollingsworth of Minden, LA; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Dustin Dance, Greg Parrott, Daryl Parrott, Randy Parrott, David Self, and Jonathan Self. Mrs. Parrott was very loving, gentle, and kind. She was also a wonderful cook. Her family would like friends and family to join them in saying "good-bye" as she journeys home.
