PEARSON James O. Pearson was born to Osel and Margaret Pearson in Casa, AR on February 23, 1938. He departed this life following a lengthy illness on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the age of eighty-two. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Valerie Hill; and great granddaughters, Corley Brackin and Madison Bagby. Mr. Pearson is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Jessie Pearson of Bastrop, LA; daughters, Terry Pearson Hill (John) of Bastrop, LA and Sheena Pearson of Dallas, TX; three sons, Marty Pearson (JoAnna) of Columbus, GA, Keith Pearson of Davenport, FL, Todd Jackson (Sherri) of Bastrop, LA; and seven grandchildren, including one on the way; and eight great grandchildren. He was a farmer in Morehouse Parish for most of his life and in later years started a logging business which continued until his health became prohibitive. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Bastrop, LA. The family wishes to express their appreciation and thanks to Cherry Ridge Guest Care and Premier Hospice for the care afforded him during his illness. Due to coronavirus concerns, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
