Evandrew Washington officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery in Crossett. Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Cromwell Funeral Home. Mr. Peoples died Monday, February 11, 2008 at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. Mr. Peoples was a native of Collinston, but a Crossett resident for the past 36 years, a retiree of Georgia Pacific Forestry Division, and a member of First Baptist Church on Florida Street, Crossett. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Bates and Emma Jean Peoples; and two brothers, Dr. Roosevelt Peoples and Qunnion Edward Peoples. He is survived by two sons, Izeah Peoples Jr. and Tyrone Peoples, both of Crossett; three daughters, Sandra Louise Peoples of Mer Rouge, Ruby Peoples Miles and Juanita Peoples, both of Bastrop; four sisters, Beatrice Voskuil and Sharon Thompson, both of Bastrop, Betty Tate of Atlanta, and Linda Brandon of Collinston; fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Cottra Miles, Robert Scates, Amon Peoples, Laz Thompson, Jermaine Peoples and Marcus Peoples. Honorary pallbearers are Deacons and Trustees of First Baptist Church.
