Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Flora Kate McDuff Pipes, 97, of Collinston 
will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Christ Church Cemetery with 
the Rev. Mark Benge officiating. Services are under the direction of Cox 
Funeral Home of Bastrop.

Mrs. Pipes was a member of the Reily Memorial Methodist Church and a graduate 
of Louisiana Tech University. She taught first grade during the 1930's and 
early 1940's at Bonita Elementary School.

Flora Kate McDuff Pipes was born June 7, 1910 at Chase, La. and she died 
Friday, December 28, 2007 at the Oak Woods Home in Mer Rouge. Mrs. Pipes was 
preceded in death by her husband, David Washington Pipes; her parents, John 
Lane McDuff and Beulah Chase McDuff; two brothers, W.L. and A. L. McDuff; 
sister, DeLane McDuff; and infant sister, Beulah McDuff.

 
 
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Pipes Justice and husband Ed Justice; 
son, David Pipes and wife Carolyn Pipes; eight grandchildren, Daniel Justice 
and wife Heather Justice, Justin Justice, John Justice, Chesslye Sanson, Lane 
Pipes, Scott Nicolle, Matt Nicolle, and Jeff Nicolle; six great-grandchildren, 
Kyla Justice, Riley Smith, John David Sanson, Dylan Strange, Zane Pipes, and 
Zoe Pipes; and a special friend, Marie Ray.

Serving as pallbearers are grandsons Daniel Justice, Justin Justice, John 
Justice, Lane Pipes, Scott Nicolle, Matt Nicolle, and Jeff Nicolle.

For those who wish memorials may be made to the Riley Memorial United Methodist 
Church in Collinston.
