Golden Funeral Home - April 2017
DORIS COX RIELS

Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Cox Riels, age 95, are scheduled for 2 PM 
Monday, April 24, 2017 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby 
Pennington officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Riels, a retired Dietician of Morehouse General Hospital, and member of 
Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017. She was 
also a member of the Sunny South Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Riels loved 
her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Melba Petty and husband Clifford, Gail 
Welch; sons, Bobby Riels and wife Sandra, Mike Riels and wife Elsie; five 
grandchildren, Shane Welch, Melanie Petty, Cliff Petty, Melissa Riels and 
Jana Riels; eight great grandchildren, Cody Welch, Rayne Welch, Sydney 
Donald, Neely Donald, Dray McSwain, Ashton McSwain, Aaron McSwain, Tyler 
Trichel and special niece, Ashley Cox.

Mrs. Riels is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam D. Cox; 
husband, Bob Riels; sisters, Mildred Culp, Oneta Turner, Lonie Spence; 
brother, Sam H. Cox and son -in-law, Gary Welch.

Her grandsons, great grandsons and nephews will serve the family as 
pallbearers.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 5 PM - 7 PM at Goldens.
