VELMA RIEE ROBERTS

Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Riee Roberts, age 88, are scheduled for 10 
a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. 
Allan Eppinette and Rev. Jeffery Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in 
Memorial Park Cemetery, Bastrop, LA. Visitation will be held Monday from 5-8 
p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.

Mrs. Roberts was born April 11, 1924, in Brookhaven, MS. She passed away 
Saturday, June 16, 2012, at her residence in Bastrop. She was employed by 
International Paper Company until 1956 and then became a homemaker.

Mrs. Roberts is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Ida Belle Ritchie; 
husband, Milton A. Roberts; siblings, A.C. Ritchie, Kermit Ritchie, Bonnie 
Cummins; son, Milton "Bo" Roberts; and granddaughter, Crystalyn Brooke Stuart.

She is survived by four children, Marsa Mair, Donice Lee, Denise Cain and 
husband Jory, Pancho Roberts; special friend, Janet Carney; nine 
grandchildren, Jamie Lawson, Jessica Winters, Jessica Beard and husband Isaac, 
Jeremy Stuart and wife Amy, Stacci Hickingbottom and husband John, Megan 
Roberts, Cody Cain and wife Lauren, Alex Roberts, Maria Roberts; and eight 
great grandchildren, Ronin Winters, Macey Winters, Nina Lawson, Maiya Lawson, 
Kiersten Hickingbottom, Kylee Hickingbottom, Bo Beard, and Belle Beard.

Serving as pallbearers will be Melvin Ritchie, Andy Ritchie, Steve Shockey, 
Gerald Blazier, Mike Blakely, Ricky McDonald, Jerry Bryan, and Mike Brown.
