DAVID HOWELL ROGERS JR.



David Howell Rogers Jr., 68 of Mer Rouge, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2001. The Pine 

Bluff native, son of Valarie Stone Rogers of West Monroe, and the late David 

Howell Rogers, was a cotton buyer in his family's Stone Cotton Company in 

Arkansas and Louisiana for many years.



An active 32nd degree Mason, the Pine Bluff Lodge 69 member and St. Andrews 

Lodge 256 (in Mer Rouge) former member, was active in the Scottish and York 

Rite Bodies, the Royal Order of Jesters, and member and past board of directors 

member of the Barak Shrine Temple in Monroe.



 

 

Survivors include his mother, uncles and aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins.



Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Memorial 

Park Cemetery in Pine Bluff, Ark., under the direction of Ralph Robinson and 

Son Funeral Home in Pine Bluff (870-534-3131) with visitation at Robinson's 

from 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital in 

Shreveport.
