ROBERTSON Funeral services for Major Keith W. Robertson, age 55, of Bastrop, LA will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church with Bro. Ray Owens and Bro. Allan Eppinette officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. Mr. Robertson passed away, Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. Major Robertson was Patrol Division Commander with the Morehouse Parish Sherriff's Office. Keith began his law enforcement career 30 years ago as a reserve deputy and began full time service on January 1, 1992. He was a member of North Crossings Church, the Optimist Club, and Mt. Gerizim Masonic Lodge #54, where he was a three time Past Master. Mr. Robertson was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and also served as a Shriner. He loved hunting, cooking and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Robertson is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karen Boutwell Robertson; father, Terry M. Robertson and wife Annette of Bastrop, LA; sons, Kevin M. Robertson and Kirk Robertson and wife Courtney, both of Bastrop, LA; two grandchildren, Gabby and Gavin Wolfe and another grandchild expected this summer and one sister, Joan McVay and husband Keith. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Carolyn Hayes Robertson. Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck Archibald, Jimmy Christmas, Antonio German, Danny McGrew, Mike Tubbs, and Herman Worsley. Serving as honorary pallbearers are all Deputies and Reserve Deputies with the Morehouse Parish Sherriff's Office.
