Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. Aline Russell Sanders was born April 1, 1931 near Oak Grove, Louisiana to the late W.J. Russell and Aline Hollingsworth Russell. She passed away January 3, 2013 at Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop. Mrs. Sanders was a former nurse for Dr. Ted Pollard and Morehouse General Hospital. She enjoyed quilting with the Bastrop Quilter's Club every Wednesday and was recognized with numerous ribbons and awards for her handicraft. Mrs. Sanders is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Arzell Jones, and two brothers, Clyde Ray Russell and Buddy Russell. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Douglas Sanders of Bastrop; four children, Cindy Sanders Blake and husband Johnny of Shreveport, Louisiana, Walter Douglas Sanders, Rusty Sanders, and Paul Sanders and wife Karlynn all of Bastrop, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Angela Marshall, Christopher Blake, Anna Kaye Robertson, Kaine Sanders, Jason Sanders, and Justin Sanders; six great-grandchildren; special nephew, Ricky Jones of West Monroe, Louisiana; a brother, Walter Russell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
