Doug Edwards and Rev. Danny Roberts officiating. Interment will be at Hughes Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home, Bastrop. Mrs. Scroggins was born March 10, 1947 in Bastrop and died Tuesday December 28, 2004 at Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop. She was preceded in death by her father, J.C. Griffis; and a brother, Charlie Griffis. Mrs. Sroggins was a member of Tillou Baptist Church and a retired school bus driver for the Morehouse Parish School System. Connie Ruth Scroggins is survived by her husband, Floyd Earl Scroggins of Bastrop; three sons, Mike Scroggins and wife Dawn Scroggins of Bastrop, Tommy Scroggins and wife Joy Scroggins of Bastrop, Bo Scroggins and wife Cindy Scroggins of Bastrop; three grandchildren, Cody Scroggins, Marissa Scroggins, Megan Young; mother, Lillie Pearl Griffis of Bastrop; four brothers, Jackie Griffis of Baytown, Texas, Floyd Griffis of Crossett, Arkansas, John Henry Griffis of Kerrville, Texas, and Paul Douglas Griffis of Crossett, Arkansas; two sisters, Frances Frisby of Bastrop, and Margie Gardner of Crossett, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Jeff Freeland, Kenneth Freeland, Brian Doles, Josh Doles, Kevin Barnes, and Darren Miguez. Honorary pallbearer is Heath Porter.
