KATHERINE JEANETTE SIMS
COX FUNERAL HOME
BASTROP, LOUISIANA
Katherine Jeanette Sims was born in Bastrop, Louisiana on July 12, 1978. She 
passed away on September 25, 2025 in Bastrop, Louisiana following a brief 
illness. Jeanette was the daughter of the late Kathy Lou Carr Sims and Little 
Buddy Sims Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Leonidas Floyd and daughter, Julia 
Sims both of Bastrop; the father of her children and her partner, Robert Floyd 
Jr. of Bastrop. Jeanette is also survived by her sister, Rachel Sims Young and 
her brother, Buddy Jack "BJ" Sims.
A private family service remembering and honoring Jeanette's life will be held 
on Saturday, September 11, 2025.
