JIMMY DOYLE SISTRUNK

Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Doyle Sistrunk, age 76, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled
for 3 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Post
officiating. Interment will follow in the Beekman Cemetery under the direction of
Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 PM until 7 PM Thursday at Golden
Funeral Home.

Mr. Sistrunk, a retired educator with the Morehouse Parish School System for 33
years, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017. He was an active member of Bethel
Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Emma Kay Sistrunk; two daughters, Iwana Kay
Sistrunk Nettles of Orlando, FL, Mary Holly Sistrunk Flippo and husband Sonny of
Willis, TX; two sons, Jason Sistrunk and wife Natalie of Sterlington, LA, Joel
Sistrunk and wife Christy of Beekman, LA; three sisters, Carolyn Turner and husband
Donald of Sterlington, LA, Sandra Sistrunk Harper of Bastrop, LA, Sharon Sistrunk
Torres and husband Mike of Bastrop, LA; two brothers, Bro. David Sistrunk and wife
Beverly of Bastrop, LA, Donald Sistrunk and wife Esther of Bastrop, LA; twelve
grandchildren, Cassidy Osborne and husband Josh of CO, Kiffery Wilson and husband
Bryan of CO, Kayleigh Nettles of CO, Noah Sistrunk and Colin Sistrunk both of LA,
Andie Forbes of LA, Benjamin Forbes of LA, Madeline Claire Sistrunk of LA, Jillian
Elise Sistrunk of LA, Krue Allen Flippo of TX, Marly Rayn Flippo of TX, Rylee Jade
Flippo of TX; three great grandchildren, Ayden Osborne, Theo Osborne and Greyson
Wilson all of CO; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mr. Sistrunk is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Calvin Sistrunk,
Thomas Sistrunk, Bill Birmingham and a nephew, David Sistrunk, Jr.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Turner, Brian Turner, Steven Sistrunk, Dewayne
Sistrunk, Keith Sistrunk, Tracy Sistrunk, Calvin Sistrunk Jr., and Paul Sistrunk.

Honorary pallbearers are Bob Clark, Malvin Sistrunk, Pete Brunson, Jim Brent, Jerry
Lynn, Tom Thrower, Dr. Mike Smith, Buddy Richards, and the Bethel Baptist Church
Men's Sunday School Class, Bobby Sistrunk, Carl Ray Harper, Justin Pritchett, and
Chase Pritchett.
