BASTROP, LOUISIANA

Robert Wayne (Bobby) Sistrunk, a resident of Decatur, Alabama was born in 
Bastrop, Louisiana on April 7, 1962 to the late Betty Ann Boykin Sistrunk and 
Calvin Conley Sistrunk. Mr. Sistrunk passed away, surrounded by family, on 
January 19, 2026 in Decatur, Alabama. Along with his parents he is preceded in 
death by a granddaughter, Skyler Cato; his mother-in-law, Deloris Trichell; and 
sister and brother-in-law, Tonia Boyte and William Boyte.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sonia Sistrunk; four children, 
Brittany Sistrunk, Barrett Sistrunk, Blaine Sistrunk and wife, Samantha, and 
Brennan Sistrunk and wife, Ashleigh; and beloved niece and nephew, Rachel Boyte 
and Ethan Boyte and wife, Liz. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, 
Brecken Widner, Kieran Widner, Kennalee Widner, Anyla Drummond, Baylen Sistrunk, 
Colstyn Sistrunk, Cullen Sistrunk, Madeleine Sistrunk, Ava Gold Sistrunk, Silas 
Sistrunk, Saylor Sistrunk, Sloane Sistrunk, Addilee Sistrunk, Aziah Boyte, Ayan 
Boyte, William Boyte, Lennox Boyte, and Zayne Smith; four brothers, Calvin 
Sistrunk, Jr. and wife, Sandra, Keith Sistrunk and wife, Shane, and Tracy 
Sistrunk and wife, Amy; two brothers-in-law, Bobby Barnes, Jr. and wife, Regan, 
and Buck Bray; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 PM on 
Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop followed 
by funeral services honoring Bobby's life at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. 
Committal services and burial will be at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church 
Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.

Serving as Bobby's pallbearers are his sons Barrett Sistrunk, Blaine Sistrunk, 
Brennan Sistrunk, along with Ethan Boyte, Buck Bray, and Kyle Pitre.
