ROBBY SPURGEON SMITH

A private family graveside funeral service for Robby "Robert" Spurgeon 
Smith, age 79, will be held in the Homer Arlington Cemetery, Homer, LA, with 
Bro. Andy Myrick officiating.

Mr. Smith, a former Deputy with the Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office, 
passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018. He retired in 2003 from 
International Paper Company in Security. Mr. Smith was a loving husband, 
father, grandfather and great grandfather. He attended Louisiana Tech where 
he played football and was a member of First United Methodist Church of 
Bastrop, LA.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Claudette Smith; children, Cindy Arnold, 
Leslie Herbert and husband Greg, Donna Bordelon, David Jester; 
grandchildren, Patrick Pace and wife Kristina, Daniel Pace and wife Amanda, 
Alana Arnold, Devin Herbert, Dalton Herbert, Adam Jester and wife Jessica, 
Bonner Bordelon, Evan Bordelon; great grandchildren, James Pace, June Pace, 
Rayden Pace and Logan Jester.

He is preceded in death by his parents,Paul and Hazel Smith; son, Dane 
Jester; sisters, Minnie Francis, Pauline Elizabeth,Ruth Estelle, Martha Mae, 
Virginia Lee, Hazel Anita, Marion Joan; brothers, Paul Jr., Walter Harold 
and William Alvis.

His family will serve as pallbearers.

The love he had for his family and friends was better than gold.
