HAROLD EDWARD SMITH

Funeral services for Mr. Harold Edward Smith, age 80 will be held at 2 PM 
Monday, September 26, 2016 at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Anne Russ and 
John Russ officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under 
the direction of Golden Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith, a resident of Sterlington and retired from Ford Bacon Davis as a 
Drafting Engineer, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 at his 
residence. Mr. Smith was a member of the American Legion of Bastrop; he 
served in the United States Marines during the Korean War. He loved 
woodcrafting, birdwatching and gardening.

Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents, Audette and Mert Smith; and a 
brother, Lloyd Ray Smith.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 57 years Patsy Philley Smith; two 
daughters, Kala Smith Williams (Kelly Brooks) of Parkers Chapel, AR, Amy 
Moses (David) of Monroe, LA; one son, Tim Smith of Sterlington, LA; one 
sister, Shirley Benson of Mer Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Randi Auger (Sean), 
Rikki Rowe, Benji Rowe (Ricci), Chandler Moses, Luke Moses; four great 
granddaughters; and special dogs, Taco and Sweet Pea.

Serving the family as pallbearers are Chandler Moses, Mike Barmore, Danny 
Barmore, Steve Ritchie, Kelly Brooks and Buddy Smith. Honorary pallbearers 
are Benji Rowe, Chris Barkley, Willie Dean and Doc Billings.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2 PM Monday at Golden 
Funeral Home.
