A time of visitation with the family will be held Friday beginning at 10 AM until 11 AM service time. There will be a private family burial service in Hollywood Cemetery, McComb, MS at later date. Mrs. Smith was born in Tchula, MS on March 12, 1926, and was a resident of McComb, MS until she married George G. Smith, Jr. in January of 1950. They moved to Bastrop, LA in 1962 where she resided until her passing on August 20, 2023, in Shreveport, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Gayden Smith, Jr; her parents, Julius A. And Ethel Casey Livingston; her sister, Judy Kramer; her brother, James B. Livingston; her son, Clark Gayden Smith; and a grandson, Charles Gayden Herzog. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Beverly Gay Noble and son-in-law, Dr. Jack Noble; her grandson, Nicholas B. Herzog; and three great grandchildren, Colin Gayden Herzog, Cayden Nicholas Herzog, and Lacey Claire Herzog. Plus, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces, and great nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church at 222 S. Washington St., Bastrop, LA 71220.
