Mrs. F.M. Smith Dies Saturday, Rites Wednesday

Mrs. F.M. Smith, 723 Morris Street, died late Saturday in Garnier's Clinic 
following a heart attack

She was born 69 years ago in La Mesa, Texas and had lived in Bastrop for the 
past 15 years.

 The body will lie in state at the Pleasant Drive Pentecostal Church Tuesday 
afternoon until time for the funeral which has been set for 2 p.m. Wednesday. 
The Rev. J.T. Mayo, pastor will officiate at the services, Interment will be 
made in Christ Church cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home.

 Survivors include her husband, F.M. Smith; a daughter, Mrs. Sandra Lunt of New 
York and a son, Hubert Cobin of Beechwood, N.J; four step daughters, Mrs. Lena 
McClung and Mrs. Juanita Krogmire of Shreveport, Mrs J.H. LaFitte and Mrs. J.W. 
Cooper of Mansfield and a step son, M.W. Smith of Furmington, New Mexico.

Pallbearers will be T.J. Davis, Doc Beal, S.G. Saucier, W.L. Smith, J.R Goleman 
and Malcolm Brunson
