Golden Funeral Home - September 2020
MARY CAROLYN SPANN

A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Mary Carolyn Spann, age 89, of Bastrop, 
LA, will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 10 AM in Memorial Park 
Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 10 AM Tuesday 
at the cemetery. 

Mrs. Spann is survived by her children, Bruce E. Spann and wife Debbie of 
Bastrop, LA, Mary Lynn Sanders and husband Robert of Bastrop, LA, Brenda 
Rookard and husband Tommy of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Carole Spann, 
Jennifer Spann, Sarah Pepper and husband Barrett, Gina Downs and husband 
Ross, Amy Hoover and husband Roger, Holly Gay and husband David, Robby 
Sanders and wife Janie, Wendy Langley and husband Lester, Trey Rookard and 
wife Carrie, Matt Rookard and wife Kelly, Austin Rookard and wife Ali; great 
grandchildren, Alison Withers, Henry Spann, Karli Spann, Jack Spann, Sam 
Pepper, Bear Pepper, Garrett Rookard, Grace Rookard, Anna Claire Rookard, 
Hunter Bryan, Lillian Rookard, Spann Rookard, Evers Rookard, Teddy Rookard 
and a great great grandchild, Hazen Withers.

She is preceded in death by her husband, L.E. “Babe” Spann and grandsons, 
Tracy Spann and Sam Sanders.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First 
Baptist Bastrop or The Gideons International.
