It was a few days after the Fourth of July, the seventh of July, 1946, when Lillie Mae Dillard and Jim Henry Spencer became the parents of a baby boy. He was given the name Jim Henry Spencer, Jr. On the seventeenth of February, Jim Henry Spencer, Jr. left family and friends bound for his "new home." Now, Jim was a farmer by profession, but he was skilled in mechanical work, plumbing, electrical work, and building. When he had some "off time," he enjoyed fishing. But his favorite "off time" was spending "quality time" with his family. Jim loved his family. He leaves to cherish his memories, his children: Keshaunda Dovall, Tamika Young, Travis Dovall, Erica Dovall, Katie Brooks, and Jim Brooks; his siblings: Ollie Lee Spencer, Willie C. Spencer, Lee Andrew Kelly, Ruby Spencer, and Delore Henderson; grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
