JOYCE THERESE BOURGEOIS STANLEY


Memorial services for Mrs. Joyce Therese' Stanley, 97 of Delhi will be held at 
1:00 PM on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in the
chapel of Cox Funeral Home in Delhi, LA.
A time of fellowship and remembering will be held on Saturday, November 1st from 
12:00 PM until time of service.
Joyce was born on September 5, 1928, in Baton Rouge, LA and left this life on 
Friday, October 24, 2025, at the
Deerfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Delhi.
She is preceded in death by her parents Edgar Marie Bourgeois and Theodile Marie 
Zeringue Bourgeois; a daughter Wendy Escude', her first husband and father of 
her children Ernest Robinson and her 2nd husband Ben Stanley and four siblings; 
Barbara "Bobbie" Jarreau, E. J. Bourgeois, Ruby Bourgeois and Edwina "Putt" 
Schexnayder.
Joyce is survived by three daughters Susan Waldrop, Wray Robinson and life 
partner Teresa Carpenter and Ruthie Cade,
grandchildren, Ginger Robinson, Joey Lena, Jeffrey Lena, Daniel Pylant, Ann 
Piazza, Sara Waldrop, Gabriel Robinson Sr., David Kennedy and Beth Kennedy.
She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren and 15 Great-great grandchildren 
and Sister Sylvia Bourgeois.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting a donation may be made to St. 
Jude’s' Children's Research Hospital in Memphis TN
