Rev. Alton Perry officiated and interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Stokes died Friday in St. Luke Hospital in Houston, Texas after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Morehouse Parish and a native of Mer Rouge. She was a member of Collinston Road Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Floyd of Bastrop; two daughters, Margaret Ann and Beverly Jane of the home; five sons, Charles Michael Chadwick, Bobby Stokes, Gregory Wayne Stokes, Samuel Lee Stokes and John Stokes all of Bastrop; five sisters, Mrs. Vera Wilson, Mrs. Dora Matheny, Mrs. Mary L. Matheny, Mrs. Ada Osborn all of Bastrop, six brothers, Bill Gregory, Sam Gregory, Roy Gregory, Harold Wilson, Steve Gregory, Jimmy Gregory, Guy Gregory all of Bastrop and Thomas Gregory of Dallas, Texas. Pallbearers will be Connie McCarver, Robert Stewart, Harold Wilson, Steve Gregory, Mark Gregory and Frank Osborn II.
