Barry Brister officiating. Committal services and burial will follow at the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery at Linville, Louisiana under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Friday, November 28th, at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. Mrs. Stripling, a resident of Sterlington, Louisiana, was born in Bastrop on June 5, 1960 to the late Claudzell Lamar "Jimmy" Sisson and Reba LaDelle Witherington Freeland. She died, surrounded by her family, on November 25, 2025 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Helen Dean; and two brothers, David Benson and Dennis Watt. Mrs. Stripling enjoyed cooking, shopping, gardening, and spending time with her family. Cathy is survived by her husband of 51 years, Roger Delane Stripling of Sterlington, Louisiana; two daughters, Lisa Tumlison and husband Tommy of Sterlington, Louisiana and Kelly Horton and husband Calvin of Sterlington, Louisiana; and a son, Roger Delane Stripling, Jr. (Bubbie). She is also survived by five grandchildren, Reba Tumlison, Callie Stripling, Bret Tumlison, Ethan Horton, and Ember Horton; a great-grandchild, Darla Stripling; two sisters, Bobbie Watt of Monroe, Louisiana and Linda McDonald and husband Bobby of Bastrop, Louisiana; a brother, Carl Watt and wife Gisela; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
