BASTROP DAILY ENTERPRISE - MARCH 21, 1975
BARNEY SUMMERVILLE

Funeral services are set for 4 p.m. today for Barney Summerville, 78, who died 
yesterday around 3 p.m.  in Morehouse General Hospital. following a lengthy 
illness. Services will be held at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. L.H 
McCollough officiating.

Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden 
Funeral Home.

A World War I Veteran, Mr. Summerville had lived in Morehouse Parish for the 
past 50 years and was a member of First Baptist Church, and had been retired 
from IPCo for 13 years. 

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Grace Summerville; one daughter, Mrs. Naomi 
Marlatt of Bastrop; one son, J.B. Summerville of West Monroe; 9 grandchildren 
and 4 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Max Summerville, Dan Summerville, Steve Summerville, David 
Marlatt, Mark Summerville, Michael Summervile, Rodney Summerville, and Stan 
Summerville.
