JR. TATUM Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Beaumont for Robert C. Tatum, Jr. 26, of Silsbee, Texas, formerly of Bastrop. He was pronounced dead around noon Sunday at Silsbee Hospital following an accidental electrocution. Mr. Tatum and Keith Wayne Burrell, age 23, had been dispatched to repair lines downed by a storm. Having checked the switch box first, they drove some four miles to the work site with two other employees of the power company officials reported. Line were downed yesterday about a quarter mile off the road in a wooded area. Meantime, another worker from a nearby town had been given the same assignment, and finding the switchbox out of order, he restored power. The two fatalities resulted, as the held the broken lines, officials said. Fellow workers attempted heart massage and artificial respiration while waiting for an ambulance, but to no avail. Mr. Tatum is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sharon Smith Tatum, formerly of Bastrop; two sons, Bryan and Tommy, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.C.
