Golden Funeral Home - September 2018
KRISTY BURGESS TILBURY

Funeral services for Kristy Burgess Tilbury, age 46, are scheduled for 2 PM
Thursday, September 13, 2018 at New Life Church of God with Rev. Todd Wooden and
Rev. Joey Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow at Pinegrove South Cemetery.
Kristy, a retired Clerk of Court for the City of Bastrop with twenty years of
service, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 in Monroe. She was a member of
New Friendship Baptist Church. Kristy was a loving wife, mother, and “Tilly” as
affectionately known by her grandchildren.  She enjoyed life,  working in her
yard and spending time with many close friends.
She is survived by her husband, Cary Tilbury; parents, Cubee and Linda Burgess;
daughter, Miranda Chorette and husband Tripp, son, John Tilbury and wife Jordyn,
both of Bastrop; sister, Tyra Knight and husband Brice of Covington, LA;
grandchildren, Annistyn Chorette, Karoline Tilbury, Maebry Chorette and Kynlee
Tilbury and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kristy  is preceded in death by her grandparents, W.O. and Gloy Burgess, and
Harvey and Emma “Hey Mama” Rawls.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Caleb Lucas, Todd Murry, Corey Word,
Kris Fulmer, Collins Hammonds, Patrick Hammonds, Chad Tilbury and Byron Rawls.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 5 PM - 8 PM at Goldens.
