Golden Funeral Home - December 2018
JOE TRIBE


Funeral services for Mr. Joe Tribe, age 75, are scheduled for 2 PM Friday,
December 21, 2018 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin McLeod
and Bro. David McGuffie officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park
Cemetery.
Mr. Tribe, a retired employee of International Paper Company, passed away
Wednesday, December 19, 2018. He served as a deacon at the Lighthouse Baptist
Church and he also enjoyed working with their youth. Mr. Tribe served as a Cub
Scout and a Boy Scout leader for many years. He was a baseball coach and a past
president of the Bastrop CB Club. Mr Tribe’s hobbies were collecting antiques,
car restoration and motorcycle racing. His grandchildren were the heart of his
life and his great grandchildren were the apple of his eye.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Tribe; son, Quint Tribe and wife Maryann of
Foley, AL; sisters, Mary Moulis and husband David of Carencro, LA, Betty Morrell
of Groves, TX, Elaine D’arbonne and husband Calvin of Lafayette, LA;
grandchildren, Whitney Tribe, Jonathan Thompson, Courtney Tribe Hebert and
husband Milton, Hannah Tribe, Maranda Raines; great grandchildren, Kennedy
Hebert and Logan Diramio.
Mr. Tribe is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lucille Tribe and son,
Chris Tribe.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Justin Gross, Christian Gross,
Jonathan Thompson, Daniel O’Neal, Scotty Moulis and Keith Gross.
Honorary pallbearers will be Milton Hebert, Billy Cox, Pete Stringer, Josh
Gross, Harold Flowers, Don Murphy, Ricky Gross, and Mike Blakely.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 5 PM - 8 PM at
Golden Funeral Home.
