Reverend Nick Wagner will officiate. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in the Macedonia Community north of Oak Grove, Louisiana. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove. A time of visitation will be held from 12:30 until 2 PM on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Oak Grove Methodist Church in Oak Grove, Louisiana. Mrs. Vaughan passed into eternal life at her residence in West Monroe, Louisiana after a lengthy illness. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hendrix Vaughan, Jr.; father, William Clinton Mathews; mother, Iris Bell (Capers) Mathews; and brother, Tommy Mathews. Mrs. Vaughan is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Shelton Kavalir of Crowville, Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Steve Rice of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; 5 grandchildren: Darcy Graham (Keith) of Winnsboro, Louisiana; Blake Rice (Chelsea) of Chilliwack, British Columbia; Kyle Rice (Tara) of Las Cruces, New Mexico; David Kavalir (Summer) of Mandeville, Louisiana; and Taylor Gilbert (Dain) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; 13 great grandchildren; and sister, Evelyn Claudine High of West Monroe, Louisiana. Pallbearers are Blake Rice, Kyle Rice, David Kavalir, Keith Graham, Dain Gilbert, and Lester Johnson. Honorary pallbearer is Garland High. The family would like to give a special thank you to Serenity Care Providers, Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care, and Guest House Nursing and Rehabilitation.
