Mrs. Vines died on Feb. 29 at Ashville, Ala. Visitation will be held on Feb. 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Vines was a school teacher and a native of Bastrop. She graduated from Prairie View Academy and the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She was a second grade teacher at Barrett Elementary School in Birmingham, Ala. She is survived by her husband, James Vines of Ashville, Ala.; her parents, T. A. and Irene Rogers of Bastrop; two daughters, Lauren Leath and Kasey Leath both of Alabama; two stepsons, John Vines and Matthew Vines both of Alabama; two sisters, Carolyn Williams and husband, Ron of West Monroe and Nancy Rogers of Monroe; one brother, Thomas Rogers and wife Marti of Sulpher, many nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of friends. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Bastrop or the charity of choice.
