WATSON Memorial services for Mr. Russell A. "Rusty" Watson are scheduled for 11 AM Monday, March 2, 2026, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. John McKenzie officiating. Mr. Watson passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the age of sixty-six. He was an avid sportsman and talented athlete, especially golf and baseball, just like his daddy. Mr. Watson spent most of his school years at Davidson High School in Mobile, Al and eventually graduated from Camden High School. He attended college at the University of Southern Alabama. Mr. Watson had a very outgoing personality and enjoyed working in the restaurant business and had worked as one of the managers at the Athelstan Club in Mobile, AL. He loved his family, especially his momma and he spent the last eight years taking care of her and would not have had it any other way. Mr. Watson was a wonderful caregiver and a big LSU fan. He is survived by his mother, Betty Watson McCuan; sister, Vicki Watson Roan; stepsisters, Cecelia Bostick and husband, Butch, and Joie McCuan; stepbrother, Mike McCuan and wife, Annette; nephew, Chris McCann and wife, Lisa; niece, Leslie McCann; great nieces, Kaitlyn McCann and Morgan McCann; and numerous aunts, uncles and extended family. Mr. Watson is preceded in death by his father, Russell Lee Watson; and son, James Russell Watson.
