Watson, 73, of Bastrop are scheduled for 11 a.m. May 25, 2004 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with the Revs. Allan Eppinette and Heath Eppinette officiating. Bural will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will held from 4 p.m. until 9 pm. May 24 at Goldens. Watson died May 22, 2004 at Cornerstone Hosptial in Bossier City. Watson was a deputy coroner with the Morehouse Parish Coroner's Office. He was a retired funeral director for Golden Funeral Home, a retired paramedic with Yates and Tubbs Ambulance Service and a retired powerhouse employee with International Paper Company. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of Wold War II, member of the American Legion and a former member of the Bastrop Optimist Club. Watson is survived by his wife, Delores Chunn Watson; daughters, Rosemary Rich and husband Tom of League City, Texas, Diana Watson of Shreveport, Susan Watson of Shreveport and Ann Crymes and husband Pete of Bastrop; sons, John Watson of Monroe, Daniel Watson of League City, Texas, Ralph Watson and wife Sherri of Walterboro, S.C., and Brad Forrest and wife Carrie of Crossett, Ark.; sisters, Melba Willford and husband E.J. of Glenview, Mo. and Laurine Marshall and husband Brenner of Alexandria; brother, Elvin Watson of Shreveport; grandchildren, Rachel Waller and husband Justin, Morgan Booth and husband Byron, Michael Lloyd Rich, Kye Michal Crymes, Jacey Allen and Carley Allen; great grandchildren, Natalie Waller and Emery Waller. Watson is preceded in death by two sons, Benjamin Todd Watson and David Allen Watson and by the mother of his children, Claire Patricia Watson. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Owens, Ron Chapman, John Lang, Charles Evans, Terry Williams, Lamar Lang, Victor Ray Chunn and Gene Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. E.D. Baker, Dr. Francis Elias, Dr. Robert Lyon and the men and women with the Morehouse PArish Sheriff's Office and Bastrop Police Department.
