Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, February 25 at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. Harold Eugene Watts was born August 5, 1939 to the late Johnnie Watts and Cleavie Johnson Watts. He died Friday, February 22, 2008 at the Methodist Hospital in Houston. Harold was a member of the Central Church of Christ of Bastrop where he served as a Deacon and Elder. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired machinist with over 32 years of service with International Paper Company. Harold was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He is survived his wife of 45 years, Glenda Bawcom Watts; a son, Hal Watts and wife Kathy of Bastrop; two daughters, Dr. Suzanne Watts of Bastrop and Roxanne Watts Langley and husband Tony of Houston, Texas; a brother, John Thomas Watts and wife Cathy of Bastrop; a sister, Sue Patterson and husband Rusty of Plano, Texas; and four grandchildren, Gavin Watts, Conner Watts, Victoria Langley and Thaddaeus Langley. Serving as pallbearers are Walter Lester, William Gorman, Earle Holmes, Daniel Uptigrove, Charles Franklin Jr. and Hugh Arthur.
