COX FUNERAL HOME

BASTROP, LOUISIANA

Cynthia Elaine "Cindy" Wease was born in Delhi, Louisiana on August 5, 1957 to 
the late Christopher Columbus Self, Sr. and Carolyn Faye Marshall Self. She 
passed away, with her family by her side, on the morning of January 17, 2026 at 
the Christus Highland Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Cindy, a resident 
of Bastrop, attended and was active in the First Pentecostal Church of Crossett, 
Arkansas.

She is survived by her daughters, Cassandra Carney, and Christina Wease and 
partner Chris Adams; three grandsons, Sebastian Ryder Adams, Colton Parker 
Adams, and Elijah Cash Adams; her sister, Wanda Self; and two brothers, 
Christopher Columbus Self, Jr. and Anthony Dewayne Self.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, January 22, 2026, 
beginning at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop, followed by 
funeral services celebrating her life at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with 
Reverend Keith Smith officiating and under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of 
Bastrop.
