OAK GROVE, LA - Funeral services for Jimmy Michael Wells, Sr., Age 77, of Oak 
Grove, LA will be held at 2 pm on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Goodwill Church 
of God in Goodwill, LA with Bro. David Ford officiating.
Graveside services will follow immediately after at Redwing Cemetery in 
Goodwill, LA.
Pall bearers are Tyler Neathery, Will Ashby, Michael Rawls, James D. Carroll, 
Justin Clack, and Ben Morris.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 5 to 8 PM at Goodwill Church of 
God.
Jimmy Michael Wells, Sr. was born on his mother's birthday on March 18, 1948, in 
Crossett, AR and was surrounded by family when he departed this life in the 
early morning hours of October 17, 2025, after a prolonged battle with lung 
cancer.
Those who knew and loved him will remember him as an avid outdoorsman who 
enjoyed deer hunting and white perch fishing the most but would hunt, catch, 
cook, and eat almost any wild animal. To his family, he will be remembered as a 
fierce protector
and tireless provider that made countless sacrifices during his 41 years at 
International Paper to ensure his family's needs were always met. He was 
knowledgeable in subjects ranging from Civil and World War II history to 
horticulture and how to make perfect egg noodles from scratch. His sage 
instruction will be sorely missed.
He is preceded in death by his mother Minnie Jarnevich Wells; father George 
Shirley Wells; and sister Theresa Annette Wells.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sandra Parker Wells; Brother George 
Daniel "Danny" Wells of Oak Grove, LA; daughter Monica Bryan and husband Kenneth 
of Downsville, LA; son Jimmy Michael Wells, Jr. and wife April of Collinston, 
LA; daughter
Misty Wrinkle of Oklahoma City; son Michael Neathery and wife Donna of Rayville, 
LA; son Patrick Neathery and wife Candy of Rayville, LA; as well as eight 
grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those that wish to honor Jimmy's 
life make a memorial donation to Goodwill Church of God.
