J.T. Wheat and Bro. Darren Burton officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 5 PM - 9 PM at the church. Sis. Wheat, the First Lady of the First Apostolic Church, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022. She was a talented singer, musician, and organist. Sis. Wheat loved her family and her church family. She also enjoyed reading and traveling in her spare time. She is survived by her husband, Bro. J.T. Wheat; daughter, Lorinda Wheat; son, David A. Wheat and wife, Tina, all of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Ryan Wheat, Matthew Wheat and wife, Kadie, Hannah McDaniel and husband, Joe, Wyatt Rider and wife, Sabrina; great grandchildren, Gabriella Franklin, Gavin McDaniel, Averie Rider, and Thomas Rider. Sis. Wheat is preceded in death by her parents, Tobe and Beva Burns; brothers, John C. Burns, and Richard E. Burns. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Matthew Wheat, LeChris Anders, Samuel Peralta, Wyatt Rider, Joe McDaniel, and David Duchesne. Honorary pallbearers are Ryan Wheat, Ben Murphy, Jacob Johnson, and Gabriel Johnson.
