DAVID WHEELER

Funeral services for David Wheeler, 58, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the New 
Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Rev. Isaac Williams officiating.

Interment will be in the Foot-of-the-Hill Cemetery in Mer Rouge, under the
direction of Miller's Funeral Home of Monroe.

Wheeler died Saturday at his home after a long illness. 

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ruby Wheeler of Bastrop; eight daughters, Mrs. 
Ruthie M. Jackson of San Diego, Calif, Mrs. Rosie L. Scott and Mrs. Edith 
Swygert, both of Oakland Calif, Mrs. Barbara Sanders and Miss Linda Wheeler, 
both of Los Angeles, Mrs. Doris Wheeler, Miss Mary and Shirley Wheeler, all of 
Bastrop; four sons, Joseph Wheeler of Houston, Tex, David Wheeler Jr. and James
Wheeler, both of Bastrop, and Paul Wheeler of Fort Polk; one sister, Mrs. 
Elenora Wheeler of Banks, Ark; three brothers, Clarence Wheeler of Bastrop, 
Frank Wheeler of Pennsylvania and Henry Wheeler of Mer Rouge; and 10 
Grandchildren
