Funeral services for Beula Wilkerson, 92, of Bastrop, were held at 10:30 a.m. 
today, Monday, March 8, 2004, at the Golden Funeral Home Chapel in Bastrop with 
the Rev. Willis Wilkerson and the Rev. Charles Dupree officiating. Internment 
followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bastrop under the direction of Golden 
Funeral Home. Visitation was held from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Golden's.

Mrs. Wilkerson, a homemaker and member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, died 
Saturday, March 6, at Morehouse General Hospital.

She is survived by two sons, Willis Wilkerson and Melvin Wilkerson and wife 
Jan, all of Bastrop; three sisters, Inez Gawthorp of Cody, Wy., Verta Mae Copes 
of Denham Springs and Ellen Krause of Fort Myers, Fla.; 15 grandchildren, 
Beverly White, Donna Vinson, Jerri Bishop, John Williams, Randy Williams, 
Stephen Williams, Kevin Wilkerson, Keith Wilkerson, Chris Wilkerson, Tab 
Wilkerson, Deona Richards, Eric Wilkerson, Ray Wilkerson, Wes Wilkerson and 
Leslie Petrus; 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

 
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.R. Wilkerson, a son, Charles Wayne 
Wilkerson, a daughter Janette Williams, a grandson Landon Wilkerson and a 
granddaughter Lorri Howard.

Serving as pallbearers were Ray Wilkerson, Wes Wilkerson, John Williams, Randy 
Williams, Keith Wilkerson and Tab Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearers were Stephen 
Williams, Chris Wilkerson, Scott Petrus, Eric Wilkerson, Ed White, Andy 
Richards, Alan Bishop, David Vinson and Kevin Wilkerson.
