WILLIS THOMAS WILKERSON

Funeral Services for Rev. Willis Thomas Wilkerson, age 77, of Monroe, LA, 
formerly of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2017 at 
Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Justin Akers officiating. Visitation will be 
held from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. Monday at Golden Funeral Home.

Rev. Wilkerson, a retired employee of International Paper Company and local 
minister, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Northeast Louisiana War 
Veterans Home, Monroe. He pastored throughout the area for many years and 
conducted a nursing home ministry. He also served his country in the U.S. 
Air Force and loved music and singing.

He is survived by two sons, Willis Kevin Wilkerson of Grand Junction, CO, 
Keith Alan Wilkerson and wife Tina Lanae of Bastrop, LA; brother, Melvin 
Wilkerson and wife Jan of Bastrop, LA; seven grandchildren and five great 
grandchildren.

Rev. Wilkerson is preceded in death by a son, Christopher Eric Wilkerson; 
his parents, Willis Rufus Wilkerson and Beulah Wilkerson; sister, Jeanette 
Williams and a brother, Wayne Wilkerson.
