Allan Eppinette and Bro. Danny Babcock officiating. The burial will take place at Pine Grove Methodist Church Cemetery (4549 LA 159, Minden, LA, 71055) at 1 PM Tuesday, under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday, August 3, 2020, from 5 PM until 7 PM at the church. Mr. Wilson, a member of Harmony Baptist Church, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020, at the age of seventy-five. He was born in Minden, LA, and moved to Delhi, LA, around the age of two. Mr. Wilson graduated from Delhi High School and attended LSU Pharmacy School. Later, he graduated from Northeast Louisiana University in Business Administration. After over twenty years, Mr. Wilson retired from Bemis Bag, where he worked as a supervisor. He was dedicated to the Lord, his family, and his church. Mr. Wilson enjoyed deer and duck hunting, was an avid golfer, and a man of his word. He is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Mary Doles; children, Mandy Carol Wilson, Sadie Wilson Gray and husband Timothy, William Johnson and wife Heather, and Corey Johnson; sister, Gail Babcock and husband Danny; brothers, Danny Wilson, Kirk Doles and wife Brenda; grandchildren, Tess Johnson, Maria Johnson, Tamara Rogers, Sarah Rogers, Kara Rogers, Galen Gray, Alexandria Ditta, Victoria Gray, Savannah Ditta, Braydon Johnson, Madelynn Johnson; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Strahan, Greyson Bomar, Scarlett Rowland; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by his parents, Joel R. Wilson and Helen Sexton Wilson; and sister, Sally Wilson. Serving as pallbearers will be J.C. Thornburg, Daniel Wilson, Hugh Kelly, Jimmy Porter, Bobby Himel, Mac McCarty, and Harry Gee. Honorary pallbearers will be the Morehouse Country Club Members and the men of Harmony Baptist Church.
