Todd Wooden officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Bastrop. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Friday at Goldens. Mr. Wooden passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2008 in Monroe. He was born and raised in the Ozark Mountains in Clarksville, Ark. He was a retired concrete plant manager, a 32 degree Mason, and a fan of the Atlanta Braves. He was a charter member of Greenacres Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 56 years. Mr. Wooden is preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Irene Chapin Wooden; son, Lester Harold Wooden; grandson, Jeffrey Wooden; father, W.F. Wooden; mother, Susie Wooden; step-mother, Eula Wooden; brothers, Gora, M.L., Harlon, F.A., and Clark; and sisters, Susie Johnson and Sylvia Smothers. He is survived by his son, Don Wooden and wife Martha of Monroe; daughter-in- law, Reatagae Wooden of Rayville; grandson, Harold "Hal" Wooden and wife Sherry of Los Angeles; four great grandchildren; brother, Jack Wooden of Bastrop; and sister, Gertrude Defee of Bastrop.
