SARAH JANE WOODEN

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Jane Wooden will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, 
September 2, 2017 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with Bro. Tony 
Campanele and Bro. Todd Wooden officiating. Committal services and burial will 
follow at New Forest Cemetery, Forest, Louisiana under the direction of Cox 
Funeral Home.

Sarah Jane Patrick Wooden, a retired realtor, was born March 24, 1942 in 
Forest, Louisiana to the late Tempe McVay Patrick and Henry Willis Patrick. She 
passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in Bastrop, Louisiana following an 
extended illness. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by two 
sisters, Billie Gene Shaw and Shirley Pratt.

Mrs. Wooden is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Bobby Wooden, two 
sons, Bobby Laine Wooden and his wife Mandy and James Douglas Wooden and his 
wife Lisa, five grandchildren, Danielle Rogers, Josh Wooden, Emma Wooden, 
Rebecca Wooden, and Sarah Wooden, three sisters, Judy Withers, Brenda Evans, 
and Becky Lewis and her husband, Buster, brother-in-law, Mike Wooden and his 
wife Vicki, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers are Laine Wooden, Josh Wooden, Mike Wooden, Jimmy 
Wooden, Buster Lewis, and Larry Shields.

The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on 
Friday, September 1, 2017 at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.
