CATHERINE ANN SIMPSON WOODS

Funeral services for Catherine Ann Woods, age 87 of Farmerville, LA, will be 
held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Farmerville Methodist Church 
with Rev. Hank Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Farmerville City 
Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. 

Catherine was a faithful Christian and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. 
She was a graduate of Bastrop High School and was a member of the Methodist 
Church. Catherine enjoyed crafts and art, cross stitching, and crocheting. She 
took great pride in raising her children, cooking, and baking. 

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Don S. Woods; son, 
Don S. Woods, Jr.; parents, Doyle and Evelyn Weatherly Simpson; and her brother, 
Paul Simpson.

She is survived by her two sons, Robert Lashley Woods (Christine) and William 
Jeffress (Mary Kay); three grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren 
and great great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM, prior to the service, Wednesday, November 
19, 2025 at Farmerville Methodist Church.
